This policy explains what information AyzyBot keeps, why, who can see it, how long it is kept, and what you can do about it. AyzyBot is run by Corayzy. In short: we keep what the features you use need, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
1. Who is responsible
Corayzy runs AyzyBot and is responsible for the information it stores. Each server's owner and staff decide which features are on in their server, and so what is collected about the members there. They can also see much of it, for example moderation records and tickets. If you have a question about how a particular server uses AyzyBot, its staff are often the best people to ask first.
2. When you sign in to this website
You sign in with Discord. We ask Discord only for your basic profile and the list of servers you are in (the "identify" and "guilds" permissions). We never see your Discord password or email address. We keep:
- your Discord user id, username and avatar;
- the servers you have opened in the dashboard, so they can be listed for you;
- when you first and last visited, and the network (IP) address of your last visit, to protect accounts and stop abuse;
- your preferences, such as appearance, language, guide progress and notification choices;
- a record of changes you make in a dashboard: who made it, when, in which server and what kind of change, with the IP address and browser type it came from.
3. In servers that use AyzyBot
For each server: its id, name and owner, and the settings its staff choose. About members, what is kept depends on which features the server has turned on. It can include:
- your Discord user id and username, and past usernames and avatars if the server logs profile changes;
- activity figures: counts of messages, words, reactions, voice time, commands and similar, used for statistics, levels and leaderboards. These are counts, not the messages themselves;
- where a server turns on Status & Activity Stats, time spent online, idle or in do not disturb. This is added up for the whole server, with nobody named. It is kept for one member only if they choose to share it (/privacy stats:presence-on), and then only for 30 days;
- where a server turns on Status & Activity Stats, how long members spend in each game or app. This is added up for the whole server and is not kept for each member;
- where a server turns on Status & Activity Stats, how long members listen to each song and each artist on Spotify, for members who show Spotify as their status. This is added up for the whole server and is not kept for each member;
- levels, XP, economy balances and items, reputation, counting scores and similar game data;
- moderation records: cases, warnings, strikes, mutes and their reasons, and the roles you had when you left, so they can be given back if you return;
- who invited you, if the server counts invites;
- what you send to features that keep it on purpose: tickets (messages and attachments, made into a transcript: a file posted in that server on Discord and, where the server uses web-page transcripts, a page that anyone with its link can open until the link expires), appeals and applications, confessions (stored with who sent it), suggestions, polls, giveaway entries, starboard posts, reminders, birthdays and highlight keywords;
- modmail: your messages are passed on to a staff channel in that server on Discord. AyzyBot keeps who opened each conversation and when, not the messages;
- content server staff write, such as custom commands, tags, scheduled messages and questions of the day.
To run its features (commands, automatic moderation, word filters, autoresponders, statistics), AyzyBot reads messages in the channels it can see. It does not keep what ordinary messages say, with one exception: message logging, below.
4. Message logging
A server can turn on message events in Event Logging, so that its staff can see what a message said after it was edited or deleted. In that server, AyzyBot keeps a short-lived copy of the messages members send: who sent it, its text (up to 1,024 characters), and the names and links of any files attached. Messages from bots are not copied.
Each copy is deleted automatically after 24 hours by default, and never later than 30 days, depending on the server's plan. While it is kept, it is held in memory on our servers, with a copy on disk so it survives a restart.
When a message is edited or deleted, the log entry, with its text and files, is posted in a channel of that server on Discord, where the server's staff can see it. Staff can leave channels, roles and members out of the log. Messages in those channels, from those members, or from members holding those roles are not copied at all.
5. Ban networks
Servers can join a ban network to share bans with each other. If you are banned in a server that belongs to one, your user id, the reason and which server banned you are shared with the other servers in that network, and they may ban you too.
Where a server uses Ban Log Export, its staff can make a file listing one member's moderation records in that server and their bans in that server's networks. The file is posted in that server on Discord. It is not kept by AyzyBot and is not uploaded to any other service.
6. Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We keep your Stripe customer reference and what each plan is, who holds it, its status and when it renews or ends. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what Stripe keeps.
7. Tokens and credentials
If a server brings its own bot (Custom Bot) or connects an outside service (API Commands and similar), the token or credentials it gives are stored encrypted and used only to do what the server set up. They are never shown back in full or shared.
8. Diagnostic logs
AyzyBot and this website keep logs of what they do, so that faults and abuse can be found and fixed. A log line can include your user id, the server, the command, button or dashboard page you used and what you typed or submitted there, the reply AyzyBot sent, and, for this website, your IP address and browser type. The text of members' messages is left out unless the people who run AyzyBot switch it on to look into a problem. Only the people who run AyzyBot can read these logs.
9. How we use it
- to run the features a server has turned on, and show its dashboard;
- to keep AyzyBot secure and stop abuse, including blocking accounts or addresses that misuse it;
- to handle plans and payments;
- to find and fix problems, and to see overall totals such as how many servers use AyzyBot.
We do not sell information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
12. How long it is kept
- Daily activity statistics, including the game, app, song and artist totals: 90 days, or as long as the longest history any plan offers, if that is longer.
- Copies of messages kept for message logging: 24 hours by default, and never more than 30 days.
- Ticket transcript pages, and the copies of ticket messages and files they are made from: 30 days at most, a page from when it was made and the copies from when the ticket closed. The transcript file posted in the ticket and in the server's ticket log stays in that server on Discord; AyzyBot does not keep it.
- A member's own time online, idle or in do not disturb, kept only if they chose to share it: 30 days.
- Roles saved for members who left, to give back if they return: 90 days after they leave, or longer where the server's plan allows. A server can choose fewer days, and the saved roles are deleted when it turns the feature off.
- Records of dashboard changes, with their IP addresses: 180 days.
- Diagnostic logs: 7 days for most lines, and up to 90 days for warnings and errors.
- When AyzyBot is removed from a server, that server's data is deleted 30 days later, unless it is added back before then.
- Everything else: for as long as the server uses the feature it belongs to, or until staff delete it, or you ask us to.
We back up the database once a day and keep each backup for 14 days. Something deleted from AyzyBot can therefore remain in a backup for up to 14 days more, after which it is gone.
13. Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. To do so, contact us using the details in the Contact section at the end of this policy, and include your Discord user id and what you would like us to do. We may ask you to show that the Discord account is yours, for example by writing to us from it. We answer within 30 days.
Once we delete information, it can still remain for a short time in our database backups (up to 14 days) and in diagnostic logs (until they expire, as listed above).
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to how your information is used, to limit it, or to complain to your data protection authority.
Some records belong to a server's moderation history, such as warnings or bans. We may need to keep these, or check with the server, where removing them would undo a server's safety decisions. We will tell you if that is the case.
You can stop AyzyBot counting your activity for statistics, in every server and without asking anyone: run /privacy opt-out in any server AyzyBot is in, then /privacy confirm. The statistics already counted about you are deleted, and nothing new is counted. This does not change moderation, tickets, message logging, levels and XP, or the achievements you have unlocked. /privacy stats:opt-in starts the counting again; what was deleted does not come back.
Your time online, idle and in do not disturb is only added to each server's totals, which name nobody, unless you choose to share your own with /privacy stats:presence-on. It is then kept for 30 days and shown on your /stats card and the status leaderboards. /privacy stats:presence-off stops it and deletes what was kept.
You can also ask a server's staff to leave you out of its message log. Server owners can turn features off at any time, which stops them collecting anything new, or remove AyzyBot entirely.
14. Children
AyzyBot is meant for people old enough to use Discord where they live, and at least 13. We do not knowingly keep information about anyone younger. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Security and location
Access to stored information is limited to the people who run AyzyBot. Everything we store, including backups, is on encrypted disks, and tokens and credentials are encrypted a second time inside the database. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what we keep and will act quickly if something goes wrong. Information may be stored and processed in countries other than yours.
16. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too, and important changes are announced on the What's new page.
