The server list
The server list shows every server whose dashboard you may open. Servers that have AyzyBot open their dashboard; servers that do not offer a link to add it. Inside a dashboard, the server's name at the top is a menu for switching to another server.
Categories and modules
A dashboard is a list of modules, grouped into categories such as Moderation or New members. Choose a category to see its modules, with a count of how many are switched on. Choose a module to see its description, its commands and its settings.
- The switch beside a module's name turns the whole module on or off. Its settings are kept either way.
- Commands lists the module's commands. Select one to see how it is used: the same guide /help gives in Discord.
- A module marked Coming soon is listed so you know it is planned. It cannot be switched on yet.
Pages that are not modules
Some things have a page of their own, in the bar along the top of the dashboard. Settings holds Server settings for the prefix, language, timezone and mentions, Dashboard access for who may use the dashboard, and Move settings for saving the whole configuration to a file, loading one, or bringing data over from another bot. How the bot presents itself, its name, colour, footer and the time on its embeds, is set on Identity & Appearance. Records holds Moderation cases, Statistics and Audit log, which shows who changed what. Inbox holds the appeals and applications sent through the website, with a count of those waiting for a reply. Tools holds the larger editors, such as Flows and Reaction roles. Help opens the guide to the module you are looking at, and lists every role and channel with its ID.
Search
There are two searches. The box above the module list looks through the modules and settings of the server you are in. The search button in the header, also opened with Ctrl+K, finds a server, module, setting, page, command or guide by name from anywhere.
- Search goes by names only. It never looks at what a server has saved, so searching for a channel's name finds the settings called that, not the settings holding that channel.
- Add a server's name to look inside it: "welcome channel my server" lands on that setting in that server.
- Opening a setting from search takes you to it and marks it for a moment so you can see where it is.
Simple and Advanced
Many modules show two views of their settings. Simple shows the few settings most servers need. Advanced shows all of them.
The view is more than a filter. In Simple, the module runs on the Simple settings alone: anything set in Advanced is kept, but not applied until you switch back to Advanced.
A module with only a handful of settings shows them all and has no switch. Each module's reference page marks which of its settings are Advanced.
Saving
- Changes to settings are not applied as you type. A bar appears counting the unsaved changes; Save changes applies them and Discard puts the saved values back.
- Leaving a module with unsaved changes asks whether to save or discard them first.
- Turning a module on or off is applied straight away and needs no save.
- A saved change reaches the bot within a few seconds. There is nothing to restart.
- If a page says View only, you may read it but not change it. See Dashboard access.
Settings you cannot change
A setting with a lock and a tier beside it needs a higher Tier than the server has. A list that says its limit is reached cannot take another entry; see Limit.
Making the site easier to use
The appearance button in the header changes how the site looks for you: light or dark, higher contrast, palettes for colour-vision differences, larger and bolder text, a more readable font, how much movement there is, and the language. The choices that are about you rather than your screen follow your account to other devices.
